Big Boy Blake...

Blake is getting bigger and is now just about three and a half weeks old. He is sleeping like a champ and wakes about every 3 hours for milk. He does give us a little bit longer of a window at night and for that Mommy and Daddy are very appreciative. During the day he is starting to be a little bit more awake. Tyler just absolutely loves him and is "gentle" for the most part. I cannot get over how fast he is growing. We are slowly moving from newborn to 0-3 month clothes as he is filling out his own skin. He is really a chow hound, eating about 4 to 4 1/2 ounces at each feeding. Blake's head and legs are very strong. He can lift his head for a few seconds and looks around. When we burp him, he tries to crawl up our bodies. He currently weighs 9 pounds! I forgot how many changes take place in this stage of life for little ones, and we are enjoying every moment of it!

Three Weeks of Firsts...

Brotherly Love...

Since Blake arrived, Tyler and him have been getting along pretty well. Tyler is learning to adjust to sharing the attention with his new little brother. He even shared a few toys of his this morning with Blake by putting them on top of him in his vibrating chair. I am thankful that the change from being our one and only little boy to "Big Brother" is gradual. Since Blake doesn't do more than eat, sleep, poop, and pee for the most part, he is not a threat yet. We will see how this change starts to effect Tyler in the near future! Here are some videos that I have taken over the past few weeks of Tyler and Blake. This was taken when Tyler had no idea I was watching. He often goes up to Blake while he is in the chair and loves him, talks to him, and kisses him. So sweet!

Father's Day Times Two!

Happy Father's Day to Andy! We (Tyler, Blake, and I) are so blessed to have Andy as the Daddy of the house. We enjoyed a nice afternoon with Andy's parents, Barb and Steve (aka. Mema and Bepa) at their house. Our air conditioner broke two days ago and we needed the AC since this week is up in the 90's. Yikes! Anyhow, we had a BBQ and ate ribs and many other goodies to celebrate the dads. Here are a couple of pictures from the day...

Happy Father's Day!

Our New Addition...

On Friday, June 4 we welcomed Blake Andrew to the family. I was 38 weeks and 2 days pregnant, just like Tyler. He arrived at 10:16 PM after a day full of mild contractions. He weighed in at 7 pounds 1 ounce and was 20 inches long. The delivery was perfect and painless! I only had to push one time (a big change from Tyler's delivery).
