Two Years Ago...

Andy and I are celebrating our two year anniversary today. It has been a fun filled two years with moving, having a baby, starting new jobs, and just loving life together. I am looking forward to many more fun times in our future! Here are some of our memories from two years ago...

Life as I know it...

...is about to change drastically!
Tyler has started pulling himself up on furniture and standing while holding on...

he is crawling and climbing up stairs...
drinking from a sippy cup...
standing up in his crib (we've lowered it since then)...

and sucking his thumb if there is no Binky in sight (this one is not life changing for us).

He is growing up so fast and I know I say that a lot, but it is so true.

Christmas is almost here...

I cannot even believe that Christmas is in 2 days! Wow, this has been a very fast year for us. We have been preparing for Santa to come. Our decorations are far off the floor away from Tyler's little hands and crawling body. Our 7 1/2 foot tree is on a table in our living room and it doesn't have ornaments on the bottom foot or so of it. I think Tyler is asking for his two front teeth this year and his wish may come true. They will be arriving very soon. He visited Santa Claus the other day and was not too impressed. Santa scared him so much that he yelled and cried so loud.

"Who is this big, fat, jolly guy, Mom?"

A childproof Christmas!

We sent out 2 versions of Christmas cards this year. One of just Tyler (done at the portrait studio) and the card that we put together at the last minute. This made the cut for the 2nd card.

And since some of my friends are showing their runner up Christmas pictures on their blogs, here is ours. The story of our lives. Ahhhh!

Tourette the Turtle...

Here is an example of a toy you might not want to give your 8 month old little boy. Yes, this toy does have Tourette's. Just play the video and you will see...

Baby It's Cold Outside...

Well, we have finally gotten our first big snow of the season and boy is it cold here. The snow is so beautiful and not so hard to drive in this year thanks to the new Tahoe with 4 wheel drive. That is a life saver! Tyler is wondering what all the "white stuff" is as we drive along in the car and look out the front window. He even waved to the snow yesterday. Such a silly boy.

Here is our house in the snow. We got about 10 inches yesterday alone!

I don't know if you can see the thermometer in the car...it says 5 degrees! Isn't it beautiful though?

What a big boy...

Here is Tyler sitting in a high chair at a restaurant. We had to use the napkin as a bib. There is just far too much stuff to remember now when we go out...diapers, bottle, formula, baby food, spoons, bib, and on and on...

Gobble Gobble...

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody! We had so much fun yesterday with the family and celebrating Tyler's first Thanksgiving feast. My mom came into town on Wednesday and my in-laws came over to help out with the meal. Andy had to work but was home by 2:30. Tyler started sitting up all by himself for the first time and he started moving around very well on the floor doing the army crawl. We very very tired after eating all of the food and the triptophan really got to us. Gotta love Thanksgiving!
Tyler hanging out with Grammie.

Tyler's new favorite toy...a spoon. It's the simple pleasures in life.

Grandpa and Grammie were trying to teach Tyler how to smell the flowers.

Our feast.

One of the many things I am thankful for...Andy.

Strike...

Tyler had fun with Mommy and Daddy on his first bowling adventure. He was very interested in all that was around him. The new sounds and sights were fascinating. He is now sitting up in high chair at restaurants and growing up to be such a big boy! We are having a blast.

This is so much fun! He likes bowling about as much as he likes his food.

Daddy's biggest fan watching and cheering him on.

Fun in the Sun...

The Sunshine State that is! Andy and I went on a trip to Florida, thanks to his company, to celebrate him earning "Account of the Year" at work. There was a big hoopla in Orlando, which I couldn't attend but was great for Andy to be recognized. So, that being said, we were off to Florida to enjoy a vacation (just the two of us), relaxing in a hammock, the sunshine, and of course...Walt Disney World! We had a blast at Epcot and the Magic Kingdom acting like kids and goofing off. I had a chance to see my cousin Nick twice. It was great catching up with him because we have not seen each other in about 10 years or maybe even more than that. I am glad we made it out there to enjoy the heat because we got our first snow yesterday.
Entering Epcot...

Mickey and I hanging out.

"Goof"ing around with Goofy.

Andy's favorite duck without pants.

Fun in France...can you see the Eiffel Tower?

My belly dancing getup and Andy in his Fez.

In Japan with the Epcot ball in the background.

Hangin' with the naked guy in Italy.

In a German village.

China was undergoing construction.

The Norwegian vikings. Nice braids, Andy...you blond bombshell, you.

A fiesta anyone?

Off to the Magic Kingdom...

That is happy Walt...look closely.

The Jungle Cruise...maybe one of the best Disney rides.

Did you know that a different Disney guest is picked to stay in this castle every night? If you are headed to Disney World be sure to pack your princess dress and mouse ears to impress the employees. Thanks for the trivia Nick. Too bad it wasn't us. Maybe next time...

Of course we didn't forget to get Tyler his own Mickey hat.

Chili's has a new mascot...

Our little chili pepper was so adorable on Halloween night. We think he has the new gig as the Chili's spokesperson. What do you think? Andy, Tyler and I spent some time with Barb and Steve on Halloween and hung out, ate pizza, and passed out candy to the neighborhood kids. Tyler was in his costume for about 10 minutes and then he fell asleep. It was a little overwhelming for him I guess.

Tyler with Grandpa before the night got going.

Our little chili pepper looking so cute.

This could be fun...

Okay...maybe not so much fun now. Now I am a pot of chili. Is this chili abuse?

I hope they don't eat me...
